Facebook is a company that moves quickly, constantly innovating and launching new products to improve the user experience. The feedback we heard from users was that in our efforts to innovate, some of our privacy settings h ad become confusing.

We believe in listening to our users and taking their feedback into account whenever possible. We think the following changes address these concerns by providing users with more control over their privacy settings and making them more simple to use.

Starting today, Facebook will:

* Provide an easy-to-use “master” control that enables users to set who can see the content they share through Facebook.  This enables users to choose, with just one click, the overall privacy level they’re comfortable with for the content they share on Facebook. Of course, users can still use all of the granular controls we’ve always offered, if they wish.
* Significantly reduce the amount of information that must be visible to everyone on Facebook. Facebook will no longer require that users’ friends and connections are visible to everyone. To install it we are going to use the tarball :)
make sure you have wget install
On centOS it’s yum install wget
On ubuntu apt-get install wget
To download it:

cd /root
wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/webadmin/files/webmin/1.510/webmin-1.510.tar.gz/download

You have now downloaded webmin in /root. The installation of Webmin will take some tiime depends on your server spcs once you untar the tarball and run the script.

To install Webmin, you need to run the following commands:

tar -xf webmin-1.510.tar.gz
cd webmin-1.510
sh setup.sh

Once this is done, you just need to make sure Webmin has started, and you can visit by going to http://ipaddress:10000.

Mac, Linux can easily handle partitions of all size and even the multi-terabyte memory slots that are just coming up on the market; so you don’t have to worry much for your partitioning issue just contact an experienced computer support service providers and make sensible segments for strategic data management. In case of formatted hard drive you must recover the partition plan. Data recovery software applications work to undo partitioning format.

Before performing the act, let’s know what the process actually means. Partitioning a memory slot leads to divide the storage space of hard drive into specific data areas which are termed as the partitions. Step 4) Once it is saved, test our your diary! Open up your txt file and it will show the date and time. Type in your diary entry followed by a space and save it!

The Kernel

The Kernel is the “core” of a Linux operating system. Without it you have a box with useless hardware. The purpose of the Linux Kernel is to manage the hardware, memory, system and device drivers, etc..

Without getting to technical, if you took a working version of any Linux distribution and deleted your /boot directory (were the kernel resides on your directory), upon reboot you wouldn’t get passed the boot loader. You would just stare at a blank screen OOPS!. So the kernel is most important piece of software on a Linux machine.

Everything Else

Most people, when talking about Linux are talking about the whole suite of programs that most distributions use in order to productively use Linux. Now ‘productively’ is a subjective term. For most desktop users, you want to be able to navigate your computer in a point and click manner, but Linux can run purely from a command prompt. This is the preferred way for system administrators. They do not need a robust GUI to set up a web server. The server will work with or without the point and click interface. As I am writing this tutorial, I am running Ubuntu with the fluxbox window manager and using gedit to write this. For you, you might choose a friendlier desktop environment like KDE or GNOME

This is the greatest thing about Linux, it’s flexibility. With Windows you are forced to use their desktop environment and a lot of other programs. With Linux, you can become the designer. You can pick and choose how you want your system to look, act or behave. All without breaking any license agreements.

If you are reading this, maybe you are not running Linux or are thinking about testing it out. So lets continue with a basic system setup:

For the sake of simplicity, I will consolidate Linux into three different levels:

The Command Line

When you install Linux with just the basic essentials, you will get a text-based login prompt. Once you login you are greeted with a command prompt:

[root@localhost#/home/root]

This will look different depending on your system, but it’s a basic prompt to tell you that you are logged into the system and the system is waiting for a command.

This mode acts like MS-DOS but is more robust. This environment is well suited for system administrators who run computer ‘services’ (like a web server)

X Window System and Window Managers

The graphical user interface (GUI) is the point and click environment most Windows users are most familiar with. In Linux, the GUI can be so many things, you are not forced to use any particular program.

It all starts with a program called the ‘X Window System’ or simply ‘X’. ‘X’ is the first program that starts in order to control any input device (keyboard, mouse, etc…) and the output (computer monitor). You can run X by itself, but it won’t look pretty. You will get a basic grid like background and you will be able to move the mouse around. That’s about it.

In order to create ‘windows’ and better manipulate your environment, you need what is called a ‘window manager’. Besides stating the obvious, a window manager allows you to move windows around, minimize them to a taskbar, etc… It all depends on which window manager you use. You can run Linux quite well just using a window manager. In fact, most power users prefer this method.

Some popular windows managers are: fluxbox, blackbox, WindowMaker, FVWM, FVWM95

The Desktop Environment

A desktop environment is a suite a programs that run on top of X to create a user friendly system. This is by far the closest you can get to Windows without using Windows. Their are three basic desktop environments:

1. KDE – If you want a fully functional Windows replacement, KDE is a great choice.

2. GNOME – Built for speed and simplicity This desktop environment is better suited for power users.

3. XFCE – If your system runs on older hardware, or need to conserve system resources, XFCE is a great alternativeto GNOME

A group of gamers from Lafayette, Indiana have announced their second Mario Marathon in benefit of Child’s Play, an organization funded by the creators of Penny Arcade that brings toys and games to hospitalized children worldwide.

A team of three players will play through 25 years worth of Mario games across all Nintendo consoles. The event will start on July 10 and will end on July 15. The organizers hope that this event is bigger than least year’s, which gathered over $12,000 dollars for Child’s Play and lasted 57 hours. Viewers also have the opportunity to interact with the team and win Mario-related prizes.

The event is being broadcast online at www.mariomarathon.com, and will start on July 10 at 9:00 AM EDT.

If anyone said to you the Internet wasn’t powerful then of course there wrong
and you should put some reality in there head.

If you haven’t already seen this you tube video of the domino’s pizza workers
Then where have you been.
this shows the real good use of the Internet.

Basically the you tube community helped to bring the two workers down who where
putting food where it shouldn’t be.
The store was shut down and sanitized and the workers where fired

It was really nice to have the president of domino’s thank the you tube community in there efforts.
They say there doing everything to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
but personally I will probably never eat there again but I rarely eat there anyway.
